2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to BgDataViewer website, licensing, billing, support, and newsletter-related processing. Your Loxone credentials and Loxone statistical data are processed locally on your device and are not sent to Biggersols Ltd servers unless you explicitly use the chart sharing feature.
3. Categories of Data We Process
- Identity and contact data: email address, billing name (if provided by checkout).
- Billing and transaction data: product, amount, tax amount, currency, payment status, Stripe identifiers.
- License and device data: license key, activation status, device fingerprint hash, device association.
- Technical and security data: IP address, request metadata, rate-limiting and abuse-prevention logs.
- Newsletter data: email address, subscription status, confirmation timestamp, unsubscribe timestamp, related IP address.
- Website analytics data (with consent): GA4 identifiers, page interactions, and aggregate usage statistics.
4. Purposes and Legal Bases (GDPR Art. 6)
- Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): purchase handling, license issuance, activation/deactivation, customer support related to your order/license.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): accounting, invoicing, tax-related record keeping, and statutory compliance.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): service security, abuse prevention, fraud detection, and protection of platform integrity.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): newsletter marketing and analytics cookies/GA4 tracking where consent is required.
If you do not provide required purchase/licensing data, we may be unable to complete your order or provide the licensed service.
5. Data Recipients and Processors
We share personal data only as necessary with service providers acting as processors/sub-processors, including payment processing (Stripe), email delivery infrastructure, hosting/infrastructure providers, and analytics provider (Google Analytics, if consented).
6. International Data Transfers
Some providers may process data outside the EEA (including the United States). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and supplementary measures. You may request further details via hello@bgdataviewer.com.
7. Data Retention
- Order and billing records: retained for the period required by applicable accounting/tax law (typically up to 8 years in Hungary).
- License and activation records: retained for the active license lifecycle and for a limited period thereafter for legal defense and audit purposes.
- Security and abuse-prevention logs: retained only as long as needed for security operations and incident handling.
- Newsletter records: retained while subscription is active, then limited retention for compliance/audit, unless deletion is requested and legally possible.
8. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data,
- rectify inaccurate data,
- erase data (right to be forgotten),
- restrict processing,
- object to processing based on legitimate interests,
- data portability (where applicable),
- withdraw consent at any time (for consent-based processing),
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Supervisory Authority
You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. For Hungary, the supervisory authority is NAIH: naih.hu.
10. Cookies and Analytics
We use a self-hosted consent manager (Klaro) and obtain consent before non-essential cookies. Necessary cookies are used for core functionality (for example session handling and storing consent choices).
Google Analytics 4 is used only according to your consent settings. You can change cookie preferences at any time via cookie settings.
11. Newsletter
Newsletter subscription uses double opt-in. You become subscribed only after confirming via email link. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe method provided in newsletter communications or by contacting us.
12. Automated Decision-Making
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing within the meaning of GDPR Art. 22.
13. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, transport encryption, and operational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; therefore we cannot guarantee absolute security.
